Cinnamon Scone Scrolls

Ingredients
Scone:
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 5 tsp Baking Powder
  • 75g butter grated (approx)
  • 3/4 cup milk
Topping:
  • 1/4 cup melted/spreadable butter
  • cinnamon
  • brown sugar
Method:
  1. Heat oven to 200 C
  2. Grate butter into flour mixture and rub it through with your fingers.
  3. Make a hole in mid of flour and pour in about 3/4 c milk.
  4. Mix in very lightly. Don’t over-mix or scones will be tough.
  5. Turn out onto lightly floured bench/board and knead a little.
  6. Roll or press out with floured rolling pin or floured knuckles.
  7. Topping time! Paint or spread on some melted butter. Then sprinkle liberally with cinnamon and then brown sugar.
  8. Roll up and cut log into slices. Place them touching or nearly touching on oven tray.
  9. Bake high about 200 C for about l5 mins.
