Ingredients
Scone:
- 3 cups Flour
- 5 tsp Baking Powder
- 75g butter grated (approx)
- 3/4 cup milk
Topping:
- 1/4 cup melted/spreadable butter
- cinnamon
- brown sugar
Method:
- Heat oven to 200 C
- Grate butter into flour mixture and rub it through with your fingers.
- Make a hole in mid of flour and pour in about 3/4 c milk.
- Mix in very lightly. Don’t over-mix or scones will be tough.
- Turn out onto lightly floured bench/board and knead a little.
- Roll or press out with floured rolling pin or floured knuckles.
- Topping time! Paint or spread on some melted butter. Then sprinkle liberally with cinnamon and then brown sugar.
- Roll up and cut log into slices. Place them touching or nearly touching on oven tray.
- Bake high about 200 C for about l5 mins.
