Ingredients
- 150 grams olivani/butter
- 175g sugar
- 200g flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 50g ground almonds
- Pinch salt
- 150 ml milk
- 3 lemons, zest grated from 2 and juice from 3
- 4 Tbsp sugar
Method
- Preheat oven to 180
- Grease a cake time and line the base with baking paper
- Mix the butter & sugar
- Add flour, baking powder and soda, ground almonds and salt.
- Add milk, lemon zest and juice from 1 lemon
- Beat well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined and the mixture is smooth
- Spoon mix into prepared tin, spread level and bake for 50ish minutes.
- Leave cake to sit for 5 mins.
- Combine the juice from the 2 remaining lemons, and the sugar and evenly spoon over the cake.
