Ingredients:
Dough
- 2/3 cup, 160ml warm water
- 1 tsp yeast
- 2 cups flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
Toppings (our favourites)…
- Tomato paste
- Caramelised onions
- Mushrooms
- Sundried and/or fresh tomatoes
- Olives
- Jalapeños
- Salami
- Bacon
- Spinach
- Cheese
- Basil
Method:
- For dough, put all ingredients in bread maker, and set to “pizza dough” cycle, typically 45 minutes. Alternatively, combine, knead and let rise once.
- Caramelise onions (with balsamic vinegar).
- Chop vegetables and grate cheese.
- Roll out the dough and pre-cook it in the oven, ideally with a pizza stone.
- Adding toppings, we start with tomato paste followed by onions, then all veges, spinach last, followed by cheese.
- Cook in the oven until crust brown and cheese browned.
- Add fresh basil when serving.
